So as I sat behind the drumset, your heartbeat's what I tried to play.

currently listening to: Bright Eyes - "I will be Grateful for this Day"

THREE WORDS: Johnathan. Rhys. Meyers.

(On if he saw similarities between him and Elvis Presley) Yeah, of course. I know, I saw the things I have in common with Elvis and I latched onto them, like he was a poor boy from Mississippi, I was a poor boy from Cork. We didn't get on well at school, either of us. We weren't liked by the students particularly. We were very, very different in the way we dressed, in the way we looked. We both bought houses for our Mama out of our first big paycheck. We both daydreamed and then went and fought to make our dreams a reality.

-(taken from imdb.com)

Seems like he only does a movie every once in a blue moon, so I feel like I have to jump on them while I can. Therefore, he is the ONLY, (I repeat, ONLY), reason I wanna watch From Paris with Love.

Seems like kinda a stupid movie, aside from that. But, I mean, come on now.

It's JOHNATHAN. RHYS. MEYERS.

I think he's my second fave actor, after the infamous Johnny Depp. (Coincidentally enough, one of Myers' idols).

What *IS* it with guys named John/Johnathan?!? It's like they're all inherently MEANT to be hot, and er, talented. Yes.

(wait - I take that back. Not ALL of them are great. That's ALL I'm ganna say).

But yeah, I totally have to find a copy of that Elvis movie he did.. (it was a made-for-tv deal, apparantly). And I never got to see August Rush, either!! MAN... how rude. But I *did* watch a lot of the Tudors back when I had free HBO. And Velvet Goldmine. Oh goodness, how did he not win an oscar for that one???

shutting up now...

Makeup won't help me much...

Dearest Friends and Readers,

My soul has been taken by The Other Mother.
Do not fear for me...

It's actually a pretty awesome "Other World" over here!!!!!!!!!! The Other Mother calls me her "little doll", and she lets me switch out my button eyes as often as I like.

She also makes me all the cupcakes that I can eat.

:)

(I cannot stop playing with this website).

Da-da-da-da-DANCE for me.

currently listening to: Innerpartysytem. Still.

Cast of the Vampire Diaries made the cover of the latest issue of NYLON... that means it's officially a "cool" show, right? HA.

It really IS a pretty good show, though. Anyone who's sick of Twilight, (Lord knows I am), and used to be into Buffy the Vampire Slayer back in the day,(before it got lame and crappy), would enjoy this show. That's what I think, anyways. It's NOTHING like Twilight. It's full of exciting twists and turns and Damon Salvatore (better known as Ian Somerhalder) is easy on the eyes and makes me laugh out loud. (He also happens to have the best dance moves ever): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPMVFlArUrc

Still not convinced? How about you watch an episode of Jersey Shore first, then an episode of Vampire Diaries... which one makes you wanna gouge your eyes and ears out LESS???? *THIS* one, you say??

MHMM.. That's what I thought.

Now there's an empty hole, where you were long ago, but things are different when you're young.

currently listening to: Innerpartysystem - "Structure" random fact: Saturday was my bday... what's so great about turning 22, anyways? Things *are* different when you're young :/

Whoo! Two posts in one day. I'm on a roll!

Welcome to another edition of The Floating Head Theatre!!!

(ok, ok so it's only the very first edition, but I hope to have more soon). As most of you already know, I'm kind of obsessed with music, and I'm often inspired by certain songs or artists when I'm creating things. I've recently gotten into making hair accessories, and here are the latest designs, (better photos for those who have seen these before). I've tried to make various different styles that would appeal to people of all tastes... I've named each design after a song that it made me think of. It's Show and Tell time:

"Ruby Soho" - named after the Rancid song.

For the pretty punk girl at heart:

"Miss Take" - named after the Horrorpops song.

For the pretty pin-up girl at heart:

"Gardenia" - named after the Malice Mizer song.

For the pretty Victorian/Goth Lolita at heart:

"She's Looking at the Stars" Set - named after the Kill Hannah song.

For the girl who might be in the gutter, (but looking at the stars):

"Girl Anachronism" - named after the Dresden Dolls song.

For the pretty, (slightly crazy), harlequin girl at heart:

ALL OF THESE ARE OFFICIALLY FOR SALE ON MY ETSY SHOP: ANARCHICDESIGNS ON ETSY

Thanks for looking!! Feel free to tell me what you think of these!! More to come very soon!!

Don’t trip off the glitz that I’m gonna display..

FASHION SOUNDTRACK - when the worlds of fashion and music join forces - 3

who: various music people
what: red carpet at the 2010 grammy awards
where: uhhh...
when: this past weekend?

First things first. No, I didn't watch the Grammy awards. I did, however, watch the reruns of the red carpet arrivals coverage. Alice Cooper, (childhood hero), randomly showed up. That was exciting :)

Secondly...

Those so called "Fashion Police" people never know what they're talking about. You know how it goes. They rave about the most boring and ugliest stuff and totally trash the truly stylish looks. I'm not ganna do a whole song and dance about it but I *do* think it's kind of annoying and hypocritical to call what Lady Gaga wears "a work of art" and then go and laugh and make fun of Imogen Heap's creative and unique getup a mere five seconds later. (Imogen and others, like Bjork, have been "shocking" people with their outfits for YEARS before Gaga... just because their music doesn't sound like a Britney song, they get looked down on? Bullshit).

My point is: people know nothing. But whatever.

Lastly, I'm ganna go on the record and say that I adored Adam Lambert's outfit the most. The ribbon bowtie is very 'kawaii', the jacket is gorgeous, and his shoes are awesomely amazing. Furthermore, I love the inky black hair with matching nail polish and I'm jealous of how he always has a flawless eye-makeup job.

I wish the mainstream media would stop being such assholes to him and just let him be.

I've been trying to find a rumoured Celldweller remix of one of his songs, to no avail. Anyone who can tell me where to find it, (I know it exists! I remember Klayton mentioning it way back before I even knew who Lambert was), please tell me!!!!
